I’ve been where you are. I know what it’s like to have found your purpose and passion and want to share your joy with others. You want everyone to feel the same excitement and satisfaction with life. The excitement is oozing out of you. Well, that’s kind of a gross visual. Maybe, oozing is a poor choice of words. How about the excitement is radiating out of you? Better?
The downside is that there are so many ways to share your message with others. Should you choose to write blog posts or books? How about video courses or Facebook lives? Maybe, 1:1 sessions or group facilitation? Let’s not forget getting up on the big stage and presenting your message to others. Wow! That’s a lot of choices. Should you choose one, two, or all?
Maybe you’ve already chosen your preferred method of sharing your vision with others, but you’re not gaining any traction. Now what? Do you give up or keep pursuing your goal? If you decide to continue, what changes should you make? Do you have any negative mindsets that are holding you back from reaching those that you want to connect with?
I’ve been there. It can be overwhelming to choose the right method. The one that works for you and what your ideal audience will receive best. I’ve also been stuck. Fortunately, the best remedy for being stuck is learning. Ten minutes into a new book, webinar, or course, and I have that aha moment.
Unfortunately, there is a slight downfall in learning as well. There is so much information out there. It is important not to get scattered into too many different directions. If you find yourself focusing on too many areas, you should write down all the areas that you would like to research and put them on a schedule. That way you aren’t foregoing anything or obsessing over the fact that you might forget something. Choose one area that you want to use to share your passion and purpose and fully research it.
The key is – you can’t do all things at once; Pinterest, courses, blogs, books, groups, launches, Facebook, coaching, Instagram, presentations, or any other method of sharing your message with others. It is too much to achieve at once. Not to mention attempting too many will result in producing shoddy work. Narrow your focus to a couple of different methods and begin to share your passion with others. As you gain competency in each area, then you can begin to branch out into other areas.
Are you ready to focus?
